Salmon Plaza Monument
The Salmon Plaza Monument is a 8.5 m (28 ft) stainless steet, atlantic salmon that is located on the waterfront in downtown Campbellton. Its nickname is Restigouche Sam and he is a popular attraction in the Campbellton area.
Campbellton Salmon Festival
Campbellton Salmon Festival is an annual celebration of the world
famous Restigouche Salmon. Many events, new and traditional, are
organized for all ages. These include: Miss and little Miss Salmon
Festival Pageants, Canada Day Celebrations with giant fireworks, salmon
suppers, Street Fest, Parking Lot Party with live bands, show and
shine, book sale, pet show, Campbell Amusements Carnival, bowling
tournament, many family activities, gigantic parade and much more.
These exceptional events celebrated with family and friends will lead
you through one week of well deserved fun.
Sugarloaf Provincial Park
Sugarloaf Provincial Park is located just outside the city of Campbellton. It is a 1215 hectare (3000 acre) park, complete with wooded areas perfect for bird and wildlife watching. There is a full-service campground in the park with tennis courts and hiking and biking trails. It home to Sugarloaf Mountain, the second largest mountain in New Brunswick, measuring 305 m (1000 ft). In the winter, the park serves as a winter ski resort, complete with downhill lifts, cross-country skiing and shoeshowing tracks.
